The Reserve Bank of New Zealand reckons risks associated with new mortgage lending are contained, with house prices remaining near the top of its range of sustainable estimates.“New mortgage lending with relatively high debt-to-income (DTI) ratios and loan-to-value ratios (LVR) has picked up but remains slow,” said the central bank in its latest Financial Stability Report (FSR).Overall housing credit growth remained subdued, too, said the Reserve Bank (RBNZ) in the report.“Our assessment is that risks associated with new mortg...
