Small business jobs back at pre-covid levels

The number of jobs in small businesses in New Zealand rose 1.4 percent in September from October and exceeded pre-covid levels by 0.4 percent, although revenue through small businesses was down 0.4 percent compared with October last year.However, jobs in hospitality were down 9.7 percent at the end of October compared with the first week of March while manufacturing jobs were up 5.8 percent, Xero small business data showed.Jobs were up 6.7 percent in Canterbury, up 5.4 percent in Hawke's Bay, and up 4.7 percent in Bay of Plenty, but down 2....
