Natural gas demand will outstrip supply over the next three years, according to the latest government statistics.The shortfall will put pressure on gas prices and raise further questions about whether some businesses can secure supply without reducing or stopping operations.There have been reports that some gas users have not been able to renew contracts or have faced much higher prices.  The increasing price of gas will flow through to wholesale electricity prices as gas or coal is required to cover peak demand prices.Meridian Energy chie...
