A small Waikato settlement is now home to a new and faster way of charging electric vehicles: from another battery.Counties Energy has installed its first Berm Battery service, which features an array of used EV batteries, after a four-year planning process and two years of testing. The low-voltage system at Mercer, Waikato, aims to reduce stress and smooth the load on the electricity network.
