Two of New Zealand’s largest electricity generators have reported making healthy margins as wholesale prices remain relatively high and most hydro lakes return to near average levels.Contact Energy’s operating report for June 2021 said it generated or acquired 880 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity compared to 877 GWh in June 2020.Its own generation cost in the month was $38.22/megawatt-hour (MWh) compared to $37.02/MWh in June 2020, with total unit generation cost (which includes acquired generation) at $44.58/MWh (June 2020: $42....
