Genesis Energy has told the rest of the electricity sector that if users wants coal to cover a potential energy shortage next year, they had better start making arrangements.The sector fears that next winter could be as tight as the last with the lack of gas increasing the risk of electricity shortages if there is not enough rain over the hydro lakes in the next six months.Genesis said it was increasing the coal supply for next winter as a result of the country’s gas supply issues and changes in supply chain processes.It aims to stoc...
