Mining was the only manufacturing industry to buck a quarterly trend of falling emissions to September 2024. Emissions from New Zealand’s manufacturing sector fell 6.2% or 120,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (ktCO2e) between June 30 and Sept 30 last year.
