ANZ launches new 1.68% floating rate for new builds

ANZ Bank New Zealand has gazumped ASB's offer on new builds with a 1.68% floating-rate offer and said it will maintain that discount on its normal floating rate, currently 4.44%, for 24 months.ANZ is also offering up to $3,000 for first-home buyers and for customers building a 6+ Homestar-rated home, one that is built at or above the current standards set by the NZ building code, dependent on location.ANZ's offer is the lowest in the market, undercutting ASB's 1.79% offer on new builds launched in May and Heartland Bank's online...
