Cross-border payments fintech Ebury wants to fill a business banking gap

European business payments firm Ebury has opened a New Zealand office and plans to fill a gap in banking services for small-to-medium enterprises. Ebury targets medium-sized firms, particularly importers and exporters, and offers cross-border payment services, including foreign currency hedging and lending. The fintech will have up to 20 staff based in Auckland at its Shortland St office, and the NZ outpost will be Ebury's 40th office. Ebury said its New Zealand expansion was of strategic importance given its presence in Shan...
