The Financial Markets Authority has welcomed a High Court ruling that requires professional services specialists to confirm eligible investor certifications made by investors correctly, and that wholesale offerors can rely on those.“That may include the need for lawyers, accountants and financial advisers to seek further information to determine whether the certification provided by the investor is correct,” the watchdog’s chief executive, Samantha Barrass, said.Her comment followed a 45-page judgment by Justice Sally Fitzgera...
