John Key will retire from all ANZ boards on March 14. Key joined the ANZ NZ board in 2017 after stepping down as New Zealand’s prime minister. He became chair of the board in 2018 and then joined the ANZ Group board as a director.The board of ANZ Bank New Zealand has appointed Scott St John to replace him as chair, also effective from March 14. A former long-term CEO of First NZ Capital (now Jarden), St John is the chair of Mercury NZ and Fisher and Paykel Healthcare and serves on the Boards of Fonterra and NEXT Foundation.
