Maharey to replace Rebstock as ACC chair

A senior minister in the Helen Clark Labour-led government of the 2000s, Steve Maharey, has been chosen to replace Paula Rebstock as chair of the Accident Compensation Corporation.Rebstock was appointed 10 years ago under the John Key National-led government of the time.She had "stabilised ACC and rebuilt public confidence following a period in which it was focused on minimising the cost of the scheme, instead of supporting injured New Zealanders," said ACC minister Carmel Sepuloni.Rebstock's departure follows the announcement of...
