More than $500k lost in Porirua money-go-round

Creditors of an unregistered Porirua investment firm have claimed $464,000 following its liquidation last year.Options Trading and Investments NZ went into liquidation on June 24.Liquidator Damien Grant said it appeared no actual investments were made by the firm, despite investors being told it invested in gold, oil and other commodities.He estimated investors' losses were really between $500,000 and $1 million, despite less than this being officially registered.
