New rules lift ANZ's minimum capital requirement by $727m

ANZ Bank New Zealand's minimum capital requirement has risen by $727 million between September last year and March this year as a result of the Reserve Bank's decision to limit the advantage the big four banks get from using internal capital models.ANZ's overall minimum capital requirement rose to $8.5 billion at March 31, up from $7.78b at Sept 30.
