RBNZ survey shows big jump in inflation expectations

The Reserve Bank's latest survey of businesses about how they see inflation developing showed a big jump with one-year-out inflation expected to hit 3.02% and two-year-ahead inflation at 2.27%.In the previous survey three months ago, one-year-ahead inflation expectations were at 1.87% and two-year-ahead expectations were 2.05%.The RBNZ noted the results followed data showing the Consumers Price Index rose 3.3% in the year ended June."The July 2021 survey of expectations found that expectations for the official cash rate have increased...
