Not-for-profit fund manager Simplicity and non-bank savings and loan provider First Credit Union are stepping into uncharted territory where they will introduce the other’s services to their own members. Describing the agreement as a rebel alliance of finance, the two companies want to show their respective customer bases that there are alternatives to the major financial institutions that might pave the way for greater cooperation among other mutuals in the future.
