The Financial Markets Authority has appointed Samantha Barrass, a regulation executive in Britain, to take over from Rob Everett as chief executive.Barrass studied economics at Canterbury and Victoria universities, then worked at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand before attending the London School of Economics.Much of her career has been spent working in market regulation, with nine years at the Financial Services Authority in the UK.Between 2014 and 2019, Barrass served as the chief executive of the financial regulator in Gibraltar – a Bri...
