Health New Zealand’s consultants bill rose by 20% to $120 million in the year to June 2024. The new figures show the “big four” consultancies continue to cash in despite the coalition Government’s promises to slash the health agency’s contractor spend. Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernst & Young (EY) and KPMG took the lion’s share of the spending at a combined $80.4m, up from $70m the previous year. Health New Zealand (HNZ) provided the data four months after BusinessDesk requeste...
