Auckland’s port operator has backed down on its objection to the use of inner harbour race courses for the most important parts of the America’s Cup regatta next year.The climb-down comes after the challenger of record for the cup, Luna Rossa, won an arbitration that would have prevented any use of courses B and C for either the challenger series in January and February or for the final series.Ports of Auckland had initially objected to the use of those two courses, which are also the best for land-based spectators and showcase Auck...
