Auckland transport gets another $3.4b injection from government

The government along with Auckland Council announced that it will inject a further $3.4 billion into the city of sails' transport infrastructure.That brings the new total spend to $31.4b, which is a few billion dollars up on the Auckland Transport Alignment Project funding announced in 2018, on the back of $2.2b in additional projects, a $600 million increase in expenditure on walking and cycling initiatives and $500m more on buses and ferries.Announcing the upgraded package today, which maps out 75 major transport initiatives in the city t...
