Auckland Transport (AT) chief executive Shane Ellison says the cost of the pandemic to the city's transport network will be close to $1 billion and the city will be feeling the effects for another two years.Ellison’s “back of the envelope” estimate is based on the number of shelved and postponed capital investment projects, transport improvements and additional services that would otherwise have been rolled out between 2020 and 2024.He said while the central government and council have been "highly supportive" ov...
