Auckland Transport issued tender documents last week to start updating its wharves to cope with an electrified ferry network that will require the same level of power to run a town the size of Queenstown.The tender proposal outlines a two-stage approach, including infrastructure upgrades to connect to Vector's network at the downtown ferry terminal, Half Moon Bay and Hobsonville Pt terminals by 2024.The second stage will see high-voltage cabling run through to another six sites by 2030.
