Banning the installation of new coal-fired boilers for lower-temperature applications ahead of a complete phase-out by 2030 are among options the government is canvassing to help reduce the country’s emissions.The ban on new coal boilers for applications requiring temperatures of up to 300 degrees Celsius is an option under active consideration, according to a Ministry for the Environment discussion document.
