Sir Brian Roche says a cycle lane across Auckland’s harbour bridge isn’t a goer.Roche, chair of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, scotched the idea of dedicating a lane on the existing bridge to bikes and pedestrians, telling a parliamentary select committee hearing on Thursday that the lane had been considered but “is not practical and has been ruled out”.A plan to allocate a lane of the bridge for cyclists and pedestrians over the "quieter summer months" was originally mooted by transport minister Michael Wood...
