The electricity sector needs a plan for how it will share the cost of unpaid power bills as job losses and business closures mount in coming months, retailer Ecotricity says. A support package the Electricity Authority announced yesterday for smaller power retailers is a good interim measure but retailers can’t be left carrying the industry’s losses, Ecotricity managing director Al Yates said.
