Methanex said its New Zealand production may fall as much as 10 percent this year due to the “significant and unexpected” production losses at the Pohokura gas field.The firm, NZ’s biggest gas user, said it will temporarily idle its Waitara Valley plant and consolidate methanol production through its two units at Motunui.
