Microsoft steals march on rivals with NZ datacentre plans

Microsoft is getting in ahead of its rivals with plans to launch a new datacentre region in New Zealand, paving the way for better local access to cloud services. The global tech giant will set up the new datacentre in the North Island but declined to say how much it will spend or how many jobs it will create.
