The Government unit responsible for administering the Regional Infrastructure Fund is taking forward work on a Northland dry dock at the request of the minister.The previous Government provided $3.7 million for three technical studies in Budget 2022, including a business case looking at the feasibility of a dry dock at Northport. The port, which included a floating dry dock alongside a shipyard as part of its "Vision for Growth", previously received $1.3m from the Provincial Growth Fund to investigate the concept, which would all...
