New Zealand Oil & Gas and partner Beach Energy plan to relinquish their exploration permit off the coast from Oamaru.The 1,787 square-kilometre permit – known as Clipper – contains the Barque prospect, previously assessed on a best estimates basis to contain a potential resource of 11 trillion cubic feet of gas and 1.5 billion barrels of light oil and condensate.Wellington-based NZOG acquired its half-share in the permit in 2013 when it also took over management of the permit from Beach.NZOG chief executive Andrew Jefferies said...
