Transport officials have shared an early preferred route for the remainder of the Northland expressway, one of the single largest transport projects in New Zealand.The 100-kilometre corridor connecting Whangārei and Auckland has been broken into three sections: Warkworth to Te Hana, Te Hana to Port Marsden Highway, including an alternative to the current slip-prone Brynderwyns section of State Highway 1, and Port Marsden Highway to Whangārei.The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) hasn’t released recent costings for the full corridor, but said las...
