Southland leaders to get Tiwai update tomorrow

The government will tomorrow update Southland stakeholders on negotiations to extend the closure of the Tiwai Point smelter beyond next August.The talks were discussed at Cabinet this week and Finance Minister Grant Robertson and Energy and Resources Minister Megan Woods are booked to travel to Invercargill to deliver the update.
