Kathmandu shares rise to 3 1/2 year high after profit upgrade

By Sophie Boot June 25 (BusinessDesk) - Kathmandu Holdings shares jumped nearly 15 percent after the outdoor equipment retailer said it expects to increase profit this year on higher sales and better margins, with the market picking it could deliver at the top end of today's guidance.  The Christchurch-based company's shares were recently up 14.8 percent to $2.87, the highest since December 2014, after it said it expects net profit of $48 million to $52 million in the year ending July 31 from $38 million last year.
