The government has made moves to strengthen requirements for venues with pokie machines and signalled a review of the Gambling Act is on its way.Internal affairs minister Jan Tinetti made the announcement on Friday, which she said would make the host-responsibility requirements on pokie venues “clearer, stronger and more enforceable”.The changes targeted the class-four gambling sector, which includes gaming machines inside pubs and similar venues, but not casinos.
