A High Court judge has upheld a complaint against earthquake claim lawyer Grant Shand after he refused to pay a bill he believed was unreasonable.  However, litigator Shand is calling the case a win because the judge set aside a Legal Complaints Review Officer order to make him pay for part of the bill in dispute.Shand, who has made a name for himself fighting insurers for Christchurch homeowners, said he took the case for the benefit of the legal profession.He was represented by top defence lawyer David Jones QC.Secret disputePrevious dec...
