The Government is seeking feedback on a carbon capture regime for New Zealand it hopes will help mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.Its position is that, subject to consultation, carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) should be available as a way of reducing industry emissions. There wouldn't be any financial incentives, and the decision to use CCUS would be with individual businesses.Instead, its goal is to give CCUS a level playing field through regulation so it is an alternative to other measures, such as reducing emissi...
