The Environment Court has approved a 235-hectare solar farm planned by Far North Solar Farm near Greytown in the Wairarapa District.The interim decision released on Oct 28 is understood to be the first time the Environment Court has granted consent for a solar farm in a full hearing, rather than upholding a decision by a local council.In this case, the application to the South Wairarapa District Council (SWDC) was directly referred to the Environment Court instead of being heard by the council itself.Far North Solar Farm (FNSF) founder and dire...
