White Island Tours owes $8.5 million to creditors, according to the liquidator's first report released on Wednesday.Chartered accountants and licensed insolvency practitioners Raymond Paul Cox and Gareth Russel Hoole from Ecovis KGA were appointed liquidators on June 7.The company ferried tourists to Whakaari/White Island, north of Whakatāne, on Dec 9, 2019, when 22 people lost their lives when it erupted, and 25 were injured.According to Wednesday’s report, White Island Tours owes just over $8.5m to creditors, $8m of which is attribu...
