Racing Minister Winston Peters has unveiled legislation to defend the TAB's monopoly in New Zealand.If agreed upon, the efforts to curb competition will rely on amendments to the Racing Industry Act rather than the previously tabled idea of geo-blocking foreign betting websites.Last year, when United Kingdom betting company Entain took over operations at the TAB in a 25-year deal, the London-listed firm offered an additional $100 million to put in place a geo-blocking regime. A ministerial spokesman told BusinessDesk on Monday that a g...
