Air New Zealand is launching a share buyback scheme targeting up to $100 million worth of its shares.At the closing share price for Air NZ shares Wednesday of 62.5 cents, that implies a buyback of up to 160m shares.“Air New Zealand’s strong balance sheet, liquidity and financial discipline provides us with the flexibility to successfully manage the short-term challenges we face while also continuing to invest in our future and return capital to our shareholders,” chair Dame Therese Walsh told the NZ Exchange (NZX).“The s...
