Oceania Healthcare extends dividend freeze despite profit rebound

Retirement village operator Oceania Healthcare has again chosen not to pay a dividend, extending a dividend freeze that began in 2023, even though the company has a formal policy to distribute 30–50% of underlying profit.On Friday, the company reported total comprehensive income of $40.4 million for the six months to Sept 30, up $28.6m compared with the same period last year. Net profit after tax was $4.9m, reversing a loss of $17.1m in 1HY25.The company described the result as a “much improved” performance, reflecting di...
