‘Any day now’: SkyCity on cusp of NZICC takeover

SkyCity Entertainment Group is yet to receive the keys of the New Zealand International Convention Centre, but says it is “any day now” for the handover to start. The listed casino operator had said on July 24 that it would receive the building from Fletcher in 90 days, but that has now been extended, and council approvals are still pending. Meanwhile, the NZ International Convention Centre (NZICC) continues to attract events with 95 scheduled for calendar 2026. Get up to date fast.
