Arvida declares mixed half-year result before delisting

In its final earnings report before going private, Arvida declared falling underlying profits but improved operating earnings in the six months to the end of September.The recently-acquired retirement village and aged care operator told the New Zealand Exchange (NZX) on Tuesday that net profit after tax (npat) fell 30% compared with the same period last year, to $64 million.Underlying profit, which seeks to account for fair value gains on investment property and eliminates deferred tax and one-off costs, was down 8.6% to $30.7m.Performance in t...
