A carbon trading platform that will do for carbon credits what Sharesies did for shares is launching today, along with a new voluntary carbon credit scheme.The country’s first voluntary carbon credit marketplace – Carbonz – will trade in Native CarbonCrop Units (CCUs) produced by CarbonCrop.Each CCU is the equivalent of absorbing one tonne of carbon as assessed by CarbonCrop’s forestry mapping technology.The platform will trade units from the government’s Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) – New Zealand Units (NZ...
