Covid-19 is back in focus and the local equity market may follow a tumble on Wall Street after California declared a state of emergency to combat the virus. “This emergency proclamation will help the state further prepare our communities and our health care system in the event it spreads more broadly,” governor Gavin Newsom said. The declaration came after California reported the first death outside of Washington State. “Markets shifted back to risk-off mode as covid-19 headlines weighed,” said ANZ Bank senior economist Miles Workman....
