The world’s largest shipping line, Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC), is slapping another US$3,000 (NZ$4,400) onto Australian and New Zealand cargo containers headed to American ports.The price increase applies to both dry and reefer (refrigerated) containers destined for the US, Canada, Mexico, Central and Southern America, with bills of lading from April 1.MSC has also clipped another US$500 increase per container headed from Australia to NZ. That is in addition to a congestion surcharge announced last July of US$1,000 for Auckland b...
