Direct Capital's new fund closes at $525m, NZ Super Fund throws in $50m

NZ’s largest private investor Direct Capital has received $50 million from the NZ Super Fund for its newest fund. On Wednesday morning NZ Super said it would increase its total investment in Direct Capital to more than $330m after putting money into its VII fund. The fund totals about $525m, which will be invested in medium-sized Australasian firms. With the new fund, Direct Capital had raised more than $2.2 billion to invest in private companies. The super fund’s head of external investments and partnerships, De...
