Being AI says the proposed sale of its consultancy business back to executive director David McDonald is subject to a legal challenge. On Wednesday morning, Being AI said parties associated with McDonald had “challenged the validity of the sale”. In a notice to the New Zealand Exchange (NZX), Being AI asked for a further trading halt of its shares.  It said the halt was necessary to allow McDonald time to resolve the legal challenge, to ensure “it has certainty” to the validity of the sale and “to ob...
