MARKET OPEN: Wall Street bounce may cheer investors

Local markets may be cheered by a bounce on Wall Street on hopes more stimulus will be offered to help the US weather the impact of covid-19.   The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 2 percent at 8am in Wellington while the Nasdaq was up 2.8 percent and the S&P 500 was up 2.3 percent as it looked like the US House of Representatives would approve almost US$500 billion more in aid to help small businesses and hospitals. The bill will be the fourth passed by Congress and will boost the overall government response to almost US$3 trillion....
