Marlborough farmer's appeal against Fonterra dismissed

The court of appeal has unanimously dismissed an appeal by farmer Philip Woolley over Fonterra supply contracts.The Marlborough farmer had taken the dairy giant to court after it refused to take milk from Woolley in 2014.Fonterra took the decision after the environment court had ordered Woolley's farm, Glenmae, to stop using its milk shed unless he got an engineer’s certificate to prove his effluent pond was up to scratch.Woolley lost in the high court, and in a new judgment dated 29 June, Justices Brendan Brown, David Goddard and Den...
