Australian investment firm Mercury Capital is seeking a buyer for Are Media, the company formed after the sudden exit from New Zealand and Australia by German publisher Bauer Media, early in the covid pandemic.Founded by New Zealander Clark Perkins, Sydney-based Mercury was reported at the time of the June 2020 announcement to be buying most of the Bauer assets, paying less than $50 million for a stable of well-known Australasian titles.In NZ, these include the Listener, New Zealand Woman’s Weekly, and Air New Zealand’s infligh...
